To celebrate the release of our new style Korsør, we're reviewing it in this week's Duckfeet Shoe Review. Korsør is a unisex boot that zips on the side. Korsør has a minimal look and lower profile than some other Duckfeet shoe styles, due to a lack of laces or buckles.
Style Notes
Duckfeet 'Korsør' boots are zip up boots made from leather, with crepe rubber soles. Crepe rubber is supportive, and shock absorbent, and can be resoled over time.
We use a strong cow hide leather that softens with wear, and being a natural product, allows for breathability. Korsør is a good trans-seasonal style that works well year-round.
Korsør shoes are unisex, so anyone can wear these classic boots.
Fit Notes
The fit of Korsør is standard for Duckfeet shoes. Duckfeet are designed with space in mind, which is great for average to wide feet.
Korsør boots work for most foot types, although we recommend narrower feet add an insole to their order, or choose Nyborg, to help take up a little extra space. Those with high insteps or high ridges on top of their foot are advised that this style may be a little tricky to get into at first, due to the rigid leather. It will soften and mould to your body, but we recommend Roskilde if you have troubles.
Korsør feels different to put on initially, especially when the shoes are still new and haven't been worn in. We recommend pushing down from the side, or using a shoe horn.
Some movement is to be expected in this style, and lessens as the leather wears in.
Korsør are suitable for a half or full orthotic, so you can be supported all year round.
Size Notes
Duckfeet Korsør Boots come in sizes 35 - 50 European.
It is standard for there to be some movement or space in the heel and toe when you initially try on the shoes; this is caused by the leather being stiff, and will dissipate as they wear in.
It's important to ensure your toes do not touch the end of your shoes when standing or walking.
To ensure you select the correct size, measure your feet by standing on a ruler. Compare your largest measurement against our size chart here for a guide to your Duckfeet size.
If your measurement matches the maximum length of a size, choose the next size up.
