A substantial fisherman sandal with a contoured cork-and-rubber footbed, made in Portugal.
The Mette is built around the foot in the way Nature always builds — a foot-shaped last, room across the toes, and a footbed that moulds to the shape of your foot with wear. The cork softens and takes an impression of your arch and heel. After a few weeks, the sandal is properly yours.
Wide straps in soft tumbled leather, fully adjustable across three points — buckle at the ankle, buckle at the instep, velcro over the top for a precise fit. Elastic under the ankle buckle means you can slip them on and off without unbuckling once you've set them the way you like.
The last is asymmetrical — shaped differently for the left foot and the right, the way feet actually are. Underneath, a flexible natural rubber outsole for grip and durability.
Made in Portugal from vegetable-tanned, tumbled oily leather that softens further with wear.
