Jylland is our take on the everyday shoe, without the average feeling. Constructed on supportive crepe rubber with a slightly stacked heel for comfort, the characteristically wider toe gives your feet space to breathe, encouraging healthier movement from the feet up.

Duckfeet in Denmark have been making shoes by hand for over forty years. Duckfeet are simple and functional, typical of mid-20th century Danish design. Duckfeet’s foot-formed design allows room for the toes to spread naturally as you walk, and for air to reach the feet. Leather midsoles and uppers breathe and transport moisture away from the foot. We use leather because it’s strong and long-lasting, but also flexible – allowing the shoe to move with and mould to your individual foot shape.

No two pairs of Duckfeet are exactly alike. Every pair of shoes is treated individually during production, the natural tanning and processing by hand allows for subtle variations in the leather. These variations are highlighted by the particular way you wear them, which imbues each shoe with personality, your story, for your life.

Jylland features premium full grain, double stitched and reinforced 100% leather uppers, insole, and leather midsole. Our non-toxic, vegetable tanned leather is manufactured according to strict environmental standards. It is drum dyed using high quality, non-toxic dyes and specially treated to be water and dirt repellant. Using traditional European Veldtschoen construction the upper is built up by hand over a flat last then the midsole is double stitched to our 100% natural crepe rubber outsole. Every pair of Duckfeet comes into contact with many experienced hands before they are placed in their box and fitted to your feet.

Most of our styles can be resoled, you can purchase a resole from us when required.

Always comfortable

This is fifth pair of Duckfeet and I wear no other types of shoe. They are always comfortable from the first wear and have improved the more I wear them. Love my Duckfeet!

Excellent shoe

These are the second duck feet I have bought from the natural shoe store. My feet are difficult to fit as they are EE because of a big toe bunion - my toe is at 40 degrees and makes my feet difficult to fit, lots of blisters and pain if I have narrow shoes- the duck feet with large toe box helps a lot. Anyway The first were the brown Fyn in 43. They have super soft leather and don’t need breaking in. The cocoa jylland are based on same footbed pattern and are the same size with the exception the leather is much firmer and needs to be worn in. I was told this by the staff and it is 100% true. The shoe durable and very easy to wear but needs breaking in. The shoes evolve an individual look with time as they scuff s and get polished- so they get a lived in look. Great for casual and work - they are different looking and people do comment on them. I wear them with 2xu compression socks with padding so I can walk all day after breaking in over three weeks wearing every second or third day. Highly recommend.
